The Hilliard Society International Exhibition of Miniature Art

2022 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Hilliard Society, founded in 1982 by Sue Burton and Roz Pierson in Wells, Somerset. This year the Exhibition will again take place in the light and spacious Town Hall from June 11th - 18th and entry is free. In addition to hundreds of miniature artworks for sale from artists around the world there is also:

60 miniatures to be won, donated by our wonderful members with all proceeds going to four very deserving Charities. See them in person at the Exhibition or Click here to buy your tickets to be in with a chance of winning a miniature masterpiece! The draw takes place at 3PM on Saturday 18th June.

A full day painting workshop on Saturday 11th June to introduce the technique of miniature painting to beginners as well as helping artists who may already have some experience but would like to brush up on their skills or try out new ideas, with experienced tutors on hand to offer help and advice. A unique opportunity!

A initiative to encourage young people to have a go at painting miniatures, with the entries on show at the Exhibition.

(Left - my entries this year. I was thrilled to find out that my painting of a Wren received the Sue Burton Memorial Award for Best in Show).
