Original Paintings   Commissions Limited Edition Prints Open Edition Prints Copyright /Licensing Greetings Cards Online Ordering Ordering by Post Packaging and Delivery Feedback Form   Frequently Asked Questions  Original Paintings are worked on acid free 100% cotton rag Watercolour paper.  My preferred makes are Arches, Saunders Waterford and most recently Two Rivers handmade paper. I use watercolours, both transparent and opaque, for all of my paintings. Some of the paintings shown on this site are currently available for purchase, or alternatively I accept commissions. Original artwork is despatched either flat packed or carefully rolled in a sturdy postal tube depending on size and sent insured by Special Delivery in the UK and Airsure internationally. (return to top)  Limited Edition Prints are produced in a strictly limited number, and each is signed and numbered and approved by the artist. Once the edition is closed no more will be made. They are printed on superb quality archival Somerset Enhanced Watercolour paper using pigmented inks for the look and feel of the original painting and I oversee the entire process personally. According to the manufacturers of the papers and inks, these prints can be expected to last a lifetime or longer. These prints are usually referred to as 'Giclees' and for best results should be treated in the same way as an original painting. Giclee prints have become very popular because of their longevity and affordability without compromising on outstanding quality. All of the prints have a white border, and the actual image size depends on the dimensions of the original artwork, but the paper is either 19" x 13" or 8.25" x 11.7" (A4). All of my limited edition prints are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity in a sturdy postal tube ready for framing when they arrive. All of our greetings cards are now produced on top quality, museum grade 300gsm white card with a beautiful glossy finish and supplied with an envelope and protective poly bag.   Blank inside for your own message and suitable for any occasion.  (return to top)   Commissions for paintings are welcomed - please get in touch to discuss your requirements, with no obligation.   I can work from your photographs, for example of a pet, or I can source the reference material, for example a flower painting. You can have a painting of any size,  and once we have discussed what you are after I will be able to give you a quote for the finished work or offer advice based on your ideas and budget. A 25% non-returnable deposit is required when we agree the commission contract to ensure your place in my worklist and allow for me to begin preparation. An original  painting makes a wonderful investment or present, and I also offer a Gift Certificate Service. (return to top)   Packaging In an effort to retain low postage costs worldwide and to ensure that your print arrives in perfect condition,  all prints larger than 8" x 10" are now shipped in a sturdy postal tube. If you would rather have your print supplied in a mount or mounted and framed, this is not a problem but there will be an additional shipping charge depending on the destination - do get in touch!  (return to top)  Postage charges for prints and cards (Worldwide) - Orders up to £5 - 50p; Orders up to £10 = £1.00; Orders up to £30 = £2.00. Orders over £30 = £4.00. If you purchase online using paypal, the postage charge will be added on at the checkout. Original artwork is  supplied unframed and shipping is by Special Delivery (UK) or Airsure (International) insured and tracked, and you will be advised of the cost when you place your order. (return to top)  Delivery - We aim to despatch all orders for prints and cards within 24 hours of payment clearing (excepting weekends and holidays). If there will be any delay, you will be advised immediately and the option to cancel offered.
