Both
our Limited Edition and Open
Edition prints are individually reproduced from the original artwork on the
outstanding 100% cotton Somerset Enhanced watercolour paper from
St Cuthbert's Mill in the UK. This superb paper is heavy, mould made and
archival (acid free). Combined with the lightfast pigment inks used by our
specialist printer, these prints not
only look every bit as good as the original but will also last a lifetime or longer. These prints are often referred to as 'giclee', and for best
results should be treated in the same way as an original painting.
Giclee prints have become very popular because of their longevity and
affordability without compromising on outstanding quality.
Limited Editions -
My earlier full size reproductions were released in editions of 200,
each one personally approved, signed and numbered by the artist in
pencil and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity. They will
remain available until the edition closes, after which no more will
be made. Limited Editions have a
white border, and the actual image size depends on the dimensions of
the original artwork. They are produced on either A3+ (19 x 13") or
A4 (8.25" x 11.7") size paper. All of my limited edition prints are
carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper and supplied in
a sturdy postal tube, which due to the quality of the papers we use
ensures they arrive in perfect condition ready for mounting and framing.
(Note : The following four prints were issued in Editions of 500 - Sitting Hen, Muscovy Ducks, Grizel (pig) and Rembrandt (Cockerel).
All other details are as above).
Open Editions -
I have only released
Open Edition reproductions recently, a change which seems to suit
me better and they have proved extremely
popular which suggests my customers are happy with it to! There is no limit on the number which can be made, but the
process and care taken in producing each print is no different to a
Limited Edition, and each one is personally approved and signed by
the artist. They are also supplied with a Certificate of
Authenticity. Each print has a white border and they are produced on
either 19" x 13" (A3+) or 8.25" x 11.7" (A4) size paper. My Open
Edition prints are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue paper and supplied in a sturdy postal tube, which due to
the quality of the paper we use ensures that they arrive in perfect
condition ready for mounting and framing.
'Mini' Prints
-
These mounted prints are open editions produced on archival art
paper using lightfast pigmented inks and make lovely gifts or a
small scale home gallery for yourself!
They are supplied ready mounted
/ matted to fit an 8" x 10" standard sized frame, with the
actual image size being 6.5" x 4.5" and they are supplied flat packed.
ACEO Limited Edition Prints
-
These tiny reproductions are released in very limited editions
of only 25 worldwide, and are made from my original small format paintings in exactly
the same way as my larger fine art prints, using pigmented inks and archival
watercolour paper. (ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals and they
are all 3.5" x 2.5"). My prints are supplied in a protective
acid free sleeve and packaged in an attractive gold envelope. Each one is
initialled on the front, and signed and numbered on the back and they come with a
Certificate of Authenticity. They are highly collectable, and you can display them in any way you choose - I have
some in tiny custom made frames and they look terrific on the wall!
Original small paintings are also available, and a donation is made to charity
with the sale of each painting or print through my involvement with Art Helping
Animals. Please email to order.
